Why our courses will help you learn

Why choose UXR Institute courses?

Maximum 15 students per class

Every session includes dedicated time for your specific questions, detailed inline feedback on your assignments, and clear action items before you walk out the (virtual) door.

Weekly office hours

No more wondering if your survey questions make sense or if your interview script will actually work. Screen-share your real artifacts during office hours, test different approaches on the spot, and leave with a concrete plan for improvement.

Classes built around doing

Research has proven: students learn far more deeply when they engage actively. No death by PowerPoint here. Each class is built around doing—analyzing real UX research together, critiquing examples from actual companies, and working through illustrative problems in small groups.

Make research friends while you learn

User research can feel isolating, especially if you're the only researcher at your company. Our cohorts connect you with people facing the same challenges across startups and Fortune 500s alike. These become your professional network, your sounding board for tough decisions, and your conference coffee crew for years to come.
What we offer

Why is a course a great way to boost my career?

Faster, deeper learning

Taking courses not built specifically for user research means you have to figure out how to apply the lessons on your own. Self-study and self-paced courses leave you with no way to get your questions answered quickly.

Frequently asked questions

Why should I invest in UX research training?

Learning UX research on the job can be risky and inefficient. Live training helps you build structured, real-world skills more confidently and quickly, so you can apply them at work without costly missteps.

What makes UXR Institute’s approach different?

Our programs are built around hands-on, realistic projects that mirror workplace scenarios. You'll learn by doing, not just watching — gaining judgment and decision-making experience that experienced researchers rely on every day.

Are the programs self-paced or live?

All of our sessions are live and instructor-led. This lets you ask questions in real time, accelerate your understanding, and avoid confusion or delays.

What kinds of projects will I work on?

Each program includes a practical project scaled for working professionals. For example, you may design and analyze data from a real survey or usability test. You'll practice making informed research decisions using real-world constraints.

Who are these learning experiences designed for?

Our programs are primarily created for early- to mid-career UX researchers looking to deepen their applied skills. Designers, PMs, and non-profit professionals also find the training useful due to its real-world focus and small class sizes.
